Naha tug of war

Sooo sorry for the late update. Went to the Naha tug of war a couple of weeks ago...early october i believe. Another Gilbertless event since he was in Texas for training. This was the last year so i figured i'd go. I had high hopes and i shouldn't have because i hate being around a big ass crowd. So we got there around noon and the event was gonna start at 3. We stood around for almost an hour holding a piece of the rope we were supposed to tug and they didn't even connect the two big ropes yet...They probably didn't start officially pulling the rope until 4pm or later. Drunk ass Americans also ruined the festivity by throwing up all over the place. There were children and old people trying to pull the ropes next to us and was nearly trampled. We left early empty handed without the piece of rope. Buy hey, at least i got some pictures. The pictures are not great but at least i got some.

After the tug of war, we went to the Carlson's house and Kris was so sweet and baked extra pies for me to take home. Let me tell you...BEST FUCKING APPLE PIE HANDS DOWN. I am convinced she sprinkles a little crack in it...but she denies it. I ate this whole thing by myself in a span of 3 days....lol.

It's been raining a lot these days in Okinawa. Not a lot of time for any outdoor activities. I bought a guitar at the Bx. Always wanted to learn and i plan to really try this time!

Hello all. Been slacking with the posts. School started up again so i have been pretty busy. Typhoon Kampasu is about to hit in like 2 hours so i figured i would update since i am bored out of my mind. Here are a couple of randoms....

neighborhood walk 08/23/10

Harooo~Went on a walk around the neighborhood and realized that we didn't post any pictures of what it actually looks like. So on one end there is toguchi beach and when you walk the opposite direction, there is nakagawa farm. There are llamas 2 blocks away~too bad they weren't out yesterday. Anyways, enjoy.
